The Global Harmony Foundation, a unique foundation that facilitates and furthers the convergence of EDUCATION, EQUITY and the ENVIRONMENT in order to work towards global harmony.

I. What is it?

GHF is a professional humanitarian foundation with a global reach and vision coupled with innovative forms of help. GHF was founded by a circle of friends and professionals who are conscious of the global socio-economic and environmental plight that hampers the nurturing of global harmony and who have the vision to act towards it.

GHF is non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making. It was established under the Swiss Civil Code art. 80ff. on the 11 January 1989 in Solothurn, with a tax-deductible status.

GHF is governed by a Board of Trustees, who serves as the policy-making body. This Board is assisted by an Advisory Board whose members come from all walks of life.

II. What are its goals?

• To help the underprivileged to develop their natural potential in order to improve in a sustainable manner their own quality of life and that of their environment.
• To raise the awareness of people regarding the interdependence of all forms of life on this globe in order to achieve enriching harmony.
• To bring about a system of ethics whereby helping the underprivileged and caring for the environment become the norm rather than the exception.

III. By what means?

Through networking, twinning, workshops and pilot projects worldwide GHF aims at fulfilling its goals.

IV. Who are its beneficiary participants?

The underdeveloped sectors of society, covering children, youths, adults, families and communities.

V. How is it financed?

By funds from corporations, communities, institutions and private donors worldwide.
