Reaching the Unreachable in the Poorest Parts of the World

Parque Florestal Primary School Project, Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil

This is a school providing education to 200 children living in the poorest sector of Camaçari. The children's ages range from 3 to 8 years and the program covers up to third grade. A vocational training for parents is underway but needs to be expanded to involve more parents..

GHF is assistance is planned to continue until 2013 and comprises:

• Technical assistance and training
• Funding for:
• A children's playground
• A vegetable garden
• Equipment for the multi-purpose kitchen which we have built
• Vocational equipment and courses for sewing and tiling
